Apple Pie with Apple Butter

Apple butter adds an extra dimension to this homey pie. Garnish your apple pie with cheddar cheese, and throw some toasted walnut pieces in with the apples for extra fiber.


  • 2 premade pie crusts
  • 5 cups peeled, sliced apples
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. apple pie spice
  • 4 Tbsp. apple butter


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Line pie pan with one of the pie-dough circles. Poke several holes in the other pie-dough circle and set aside.
