Two-Meat Chili

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 2 cans (15 oz.) Simple Truth Organic™ Red Kidney Beans, drained, rinsed
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup tomato juice

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In large Dutch oven, cook beef and pork over medium high heat 8 to 10 minutes or until thoroughly cooked, stirring to break up meat. Drain.
  2. Stir in green pepper, onion and garlic. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Cook until mixture bubbles.
  4. Reduce heat to low. Simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve with shredded cheese and sour cream.
